The Loving Seed Farm
Blake Cedergren
A not for profit farm in Cedarville their mission is to restore Illinois prairies, fight food insecurity with agroecology, build soil health with Regenerative Agriculture and engage the broader community on topics of sustainability.
Regenerative agriculture is a spectrum; Prairie Produce is our attempt to span that spectrum, grow food as if it were an agroecological system and strive towards food justice in our local communities. Farming isn’t just agriculture; it is ecological integration and harmony.
They will offer a variety of produce and are the the farm behind the Compost Bucket Exchange Program!

Shadowroot Garden
Elizabeth
Shadowroot Garden began several years ago with a dream: grow a little goth garden and fill it with the dark, the weird, the different, and the odd. Turns out, it’s not a phase. Nestled near the Wisconsin-Illinois border in Warren IL, our small-scale operation embraces the goth side of vegetables. Black tomatoes, purple peppers, and striped beans are only the beginning. We offer darkly delicious garden produce and canned goods for those who often catch themselves asking, “But, does it come in black?”
We avoid the use of chemicals, pesticides, and generally anything we can’t easily pronounce. Recipes are lab-tested and approved.
They will offer a unique variety of produce, as well as canned and pickled items!

Linda Simler
My name is Linda Simler. I live just west of Freeport and have a large garden. I sell strawberries and raspberries in season, gourds, squash, and other natural fall decorations. I do not attend every week, but also sell green beans, potatoes, and onions. I bake fruit and pumpkin coffee cakes, and awesome cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. I like to sew and make playing card holders and custom microwave bowl cozies. I can also do alterations, zippers, hems, and other repairs. If I'm not at the market, call me to make arrangements at 815-541-0170.
